Well it didn’t matter who the nominee was for the democrats because everyone knew that the voters were going to against the GOP this election. But, on a popular vote level this wasn’t as one sided as most expected. So if Obama doesn’t come through with all his promises it will be interesting to see what happens during the 2010 and 2012 elections.

I don’t think he was really specific in what was said.
I also agree that many have a misconception of what he is really going to end up doing.
I think his general approach is probably what the country needs and I think it is going to be tough. I just hope that he can continue to inspire the American people for the task that lie ahead.
I think he is a more just candidate the McCain would have been, and I am for that.

I do agree that some ppl. voted for Obama because he is a black American, but you didn’t mention that ppl. voted for Palin because she is a woman or that ppl. voted for McCain because he’s white.
I don’t know if he will deliver, I’m sure it’s going to be hard but I’d rather put my faith in Obama than in McCain.
Obama can’t be that bad, McCain even said (now that he lost) that he supports Obama 100%. That’s deep.

People want a change not 4 more years of the same. Look our economy is in the shitter, our education is just as bad, people are losing jobs left to right. Clearly our leadership is not working. People want a different apporach. And for black people its finally a step in the right direction. Besides black people are usually democrats anyways. Also he is one of the few presidents in history that isn’t a complete idiot. And one of the few politicans that tell the truth.

OBAMA is our President now because he is the BEST candidate for the job! Him being Black had nothing to do with the fact that he was 100 times BETTER than McCain when it came to ideas and character!
The world is rejoicing because it is a Beautiful day! We have a president who’s life story is the American Dream! He didn’t come from much, now he is PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!
Him being Black is Pretty Awesome though, considering the fact that we were once enslaved……GET OVER IT! Its GOD’s WILL.

Technically, he isn’t president yet. He has to make it to January. =)
Also, who said that Obama was really going to make a change? Just cause he had signs everywhere with the word “Change” stamped on it doesn’t mean anything will. Newsflash: Politicians lie. Remember the first Bush and the “No New Taxes”?
Honestly, I don’t think anything or anyone can help us now.
But I’m a McCain supporter, so what do I know…

Seems how he said everything and took both sides to every issue at one point or another, then he will do everything he said and at the same time he will do nothing.
